Welcome to Miniature Painting 101. This class is intended for the beginning student. It is suitable for those who have never painted a miniature before, or for those who desire a comprehensive review of the basic fundamentals of the hobby and art. We will cover the basic necessities, and throughout the course we will point to areas of additional study for intermediate or even advanced topics.

Our philosophy of learning miniature painting; Anyone can learn to paint miniatures. Anyone! Especially you! There is no inherent, in-born talent needed. You can do this!

Agenda items will include:

• Necessary Tools
• Nice to Have/Intermediate Tools
• Paint Types (acrylic, oil, etc)
• Paint Brushes
• Managing your palette
• Brush Load & Brush Control
• Light & Shadow
• Building Transitions (Blending)
• Layering Color Myths & Myth Busting

All participants will be provided with a model, paintbrushes and paint with entry.

Class is from 9:30am to 11:30am Saturday, April 22nd.
